Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the current president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native, grew up with an extremely wealthy life. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who was later a part owner of the Lakers along with other sports companies. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As a 19-year-old she was able to take over her role as General Manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers in 2013, she was president of Great Western Forum. Buss and her siblings, five brothers and sisters and their father who was the owner of the Lakers and ruled them up to his death in 2013, inherited the ownership via a trust. They each were entitled to equal vote rights. She assumed the office of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
